Semaphores are used for projects and services. They are a set of metrics each used to monitor a particular aspect of the status of a project (project semaphore) or service (service semaphore). Threshold values shall be defined for each semaphore and are used in reports and messages.

| Percentage alert threshold for cost | This metric monitors the total costs of a project or service which is managed in estimations. Depending on context or choice, the calculation may be based on the current estimation (the one in project or service Estimation tab) or the estimation related to the last executed milestone or review. | Percentage (a number in the range 0-100) of cost deviation from budgeted value (in estimation). This value shall be greater than the Percentage warning threshold for cost. |
