A portfolio may be defined as the investments needed to achieve a specific objective, e.g. for a business is strategic objectives. These investments are generally managed through projects.
In itmSUITE® it is possible to group projects by using the attribute Statistical Project which is available in project General section (data source modifiable in General/Projects/Categorization).
Statistical Project attribute can be used in many functionalities and reporting in order to view information per portfolio. A key report is the "Portfolio Analysis" (Reporting/Portfolio Analysis) which may be used to view the key information, including semaphores, of a set of projects corresponding to a portfolio defined by a Statistical Project record.
